Let’s get back into the past when the first website was made. On August 6, 1991, the creator of World Wide Web Tim Berners-Lee published the first ever website. In that time, he was working for CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in Switzerland.
The website contained a page explaining the World Wide Web project and how others can set up a web server, create their own websites and search the web for information. You can check the website on this link: http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html also, if you check the home page, info.cern.ch it will says home of the first website in the headline, pretty cool.
Now, when we know when the first ever website was made, here’s the question for you:
Can you guess how many websites and blogs are out there on the internet?
When you trying to guess the number, I’m going to paste a few graphs here:
Number of blogs (in millions)
This statistics shows that in 2011 has been over 173,000,000 millions of blogs live on the internet. In 2015, we can say that there is more than 250,000,000 millions of blogs online.
Number of Websites (in millions)
Total numbers from 1 website in 1991 to 1 billion in 2014
Are you ready to start your blog today?
So, enough of the numbers. The question is, are you ready to start a blog even there is 250,000,000 millions of other blogs out there?
The right answer is: YES, of course! Why wouldn’t you want to start your own blog if you know the fact that a millions of others are out on the internet. If you come up with the great idea, or if you already have a passion about something you want to blog about, then that’s the great reason why you should start your blog!

Don’t let these numbers refuse you to start your own blog, and I’m exactly going to tell you why!
250,000,000 millions is just a number, though pretty much big number, but it doesn’t mean that these are all ‘Active‘ blogs. There is a big percent of ‘Inactive’ or let’s say abandoned blogs. Someone made a blog, and then in the meantime he forgot, or just don’t want to updated it anymore.
How and What to Blog About?
Let’s say you want to blog about fashion, there is a big amount of fashion blogs out there for sure, but that doesn’t mean your blog will be the same as others if you have your own style. If you look on the Instagram for example, this social media network has the most fashion bloggers and every day the new ones pops out.
There is a room for everyone, the key is to be original, have a unique style and don’t be like the same thousands of others. To be clear, blogging isn’t about fashion only, you can blog about anything you want.
